An incumbent Constituency Organiser’s people-centred vision for stronger grassroots organisation, loyalty and service
For Kwabena Kwabena, the work of organising a constituency begins and ends with the people.
As the incumbent Constituency Organiser of the Yapei-Kusawgu Constituency, his organisational vision is centred on strengthening the relationship between party structures and the grassroots while building a constituency in which members feel valued, respected, heard and included.
His vision is to build a united, vibrant, inclusive, well-organised and winning constituency where every member has a meaningful place in the organisation; where branches function effectively; where volunteers are recognised; and where grassroots participation becomes the foundation of sustained organisational strength.
At the heart of his approach is a simple principle:
Leadership must remain close to the people it serves.
For Kwabena Kwabena, the position of Constituency Organiser is not simply an office or title. It is a responsibility to remain accessible to members, understand their concerns, work with branch structures and help create an organisation that is responsive to the people at the grassroots.
A PEOPLE-CENTRED VISION
Kwabena Kwabena’s vision is to strengthen Yapei-Kusawgu as a constituency where every party member feels valued, respected and empowered.
His proposed direction places emphasis on effective structures from the branch to the constituency level, active participation, inclusivity and volunteerism.

His approach therefore emphasises an open-door leadership culture in which members can engage directly with the organiser and the wider constituency structure.
LOYALTY TO THE PEOPLE
Loyalty is one of the defining values of Kwabena Kwabena’s organisational philosophy.
For him, loyalty is not simply about allegiance to an organisation. It is also about standing by the people who make that organisation possible.

Kwabena Kwabena’s agenda therefore includes political education on the history, values, policies and programmes of the National Democratic Congress.
Regular training, workshops and orientation are proposed for branch executives, youth and women’s organisers.
The goal is to strengthen organisational capacity and equip grassroots leaders with the knowledge and skills necessary to perform their responsibilities effectively.
YOUTH AND WOMEN AT THE CENTRE
The youth and women’s wings are identified as important pillars of organisational growth.
Kwabena Kwabena proposes deliberate opportunities for young people and women to participate, lead and benefit from constituency activities.
Skills training, entrepreneurship and leadership development are among the areas identified for attention.
The objective is to create an organisation in which women and young people are not simply participants but also active contributors to leadership and grassroots development.
ELECTORAL PREPAREDNESS AND DATA
The proposed agenda also places emphasis on organisational preparedness.
This includes developing a credible voter and membership database, identifying supporters, protecting votes and maintaining effective coordination with the Elections Directorate.
The objective is to ensure that every branch and electoral area has the organisational capacity required for effective election preparation.
Data, organisation and communication are viewed as complementary tools for strengthening grassroots structures.
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT AND SOCIAL OUTREACH
For an incumbent organiser, the relationship with the community cannot begin and end with party meetings.
Kwabena Kwabena’s agenda therefore proposes continued engagement with chiefs, opinion leaders, youth groups, women’s groups, faith-based organisations and other community stakeholders.
It also calls for support for community-based initiatives that respond to the real needs of constituents.
The principle is that a grassroots organisation must understand the communities within which it operates.

The philosophy is straightforward: the work of an organiser cannot be done entirely from an office.

I will listen to our members. I will respect their concerns. I will stand with them in difficult moments and celebrate their successes. I will work to ensure that every branch is active, every member feels valued, every volunteer feels appreciated and every available vote is properly organised.
I will serve with humility, discipline and commitment. My loyalty is to the people, my commitment is to the party, and my strength will come from working together with you.
A CONTINUING COMMITMENT TO YAPEI-KUSAWGU
Kwabena Kwabena’s organisational agenda ultimately centres on a continuing commitment to the people and structures of Yapei-Kusawgu.
Its priorities—grassroots mobilisation, member welfare, unity and discipline, political education, electoral preparedness, youth and women’s empowerment, community outreach and communication—are presented as interconnected elements of a stronger constituency organisation.
The central message is one of service.
For Kwabena Kwabena, organising is not simply about structures on paper. It is about people, relationships, trust and presence.
