The Gonjaland Youth Association (GLYA) has received with profound sorrow and a deep sense of loss the news of the passing of His Excellency TingaWura Alhaji Sampson Seidu Abudu, the Savannah Regional Representative on the Council of State, a distinguished traditional leader, philanthropist and respected son of the Bole Traditional Area.
Indeed, “we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we will return.”

His sudden passing is a great loss to his family, the Bole Traditional Area, the Savannah Region and the entire people of Gonjaland.
His Excellency TingaWura Alhaji Sampson Seidu Abudu lived a life defined by service, generosity, wisdom and an unwavering commitment to the development and welfare of his people. GLYA recognises his invaluable contributions to education and his philanthropic endeavours, particularly his concern for the advancement of young people and the development of communities.
GLYA was honoured by his presence at the Association’s 50th Anniversary Celebration in Buipe earlier this year. His participation in that historic occasion was a demonstration of his enduring commitment to youth development, unity and the progress of Gonjaland.
As the Savannah Regional Representative on the Council of State, he served with distinction, bringing his wealth of experience, wisdom and traditional leadership to bear in the service of the Savannah Region and the Republic of Ghana.
GLYA mourns the passing of a respected elder, statesman, philanthropist and great unifier. His contributions to education, community development and the welfare of his people will remain an enduring part of his legacy and continue to inspire generations to come.
We extend our deepest condolences to Yiram Bolewura Sarfo Kutuge Feso, the Chiefs and Elders of the Bole Traditional Area, the Sarfope Royal Gate, the bereaved family, the Council of State, and the entire people of Bole and the Savannah Region.
We pray that Almighty Allah forgives his shortcomings, grants him His infinite mercy and admits him into Jannatul Firdaus. May Allah also grant the bereaved family, friends, colleagues and all who mourn him the strength, patience and fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.
