Bobo-Dioulasso, September 11, 2026. The President of Burkina Faso, Head of State, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, at the inauguration of the amphitheater complex this Friday, spoke with students of Nazi-Boni University.
In the new 1,200-seat amphitheater that he had just inaugurated, the Head of State emphasised the vision of the Popular Progressive Revolution (RPP) and once again awakened the consciousness of the Burkinabe youth. “We are obliged to speak to you, to explain where we are going, what the vision is. This inauguration is much more than a ribbon-cutting ceremony; it is another symbol of our refusal of fatalism and our determination to build a strong and sovereign nation,” the RPP leader emphasised. According to the Head of State, the imperialists “are afraid of our words,” and they fear that the youth will understand many things that will push back ignorance.
The President of Burkina Faso explained that this Revolution translates its promises into actions. “These are not just words, these are actions. We want our independence and when we talk about sovereignty, we do not just say it in words, we take action,” he emphasised.
Faith in the Skills of the Youth
Captain Ibrahim Traoré recalled the ongoing industrialisation in the country, with the inauguration of the textile industrial complex of the Burkina Faso Forces (TEXFORCES-BF) last Wednesday, and announced the construction of a tannery. For the promotion of industry, the Head of State called on students to pursue technical fields, because “the future is in technology. We believe in you!” he declared. In this perspective, he invited the youth to work to change the face of the country.
Modernise Higher Education
The National Coordinator of IPEQ, Comrade Zakaria Soré, praised this strong political will of the President of Burkina Faso. Also, on behalf of the academic community and research, he took the commitment to make the new complex “a crucible of excellence and innovation for the benefit of the Burkinabe people.”
As for the student representative, Comrade Sakina Boro, she expressed, on behalf of her colleagues, her deep gratitude to the Head of State and took the commitment to support the Popular Progressive Revolution.
