Minister for Energy and Green Transition, John Abdulai Jinapor, has commended BOSTenergies Limited Company for its strong financial performance in 2025, describing the company’s growing profitability as evidence that Ghana’s state-owned enterprises can create significant value for the country.

Mr. Jinapor made the remarks when he joined the Board, Management and staff of BOSTenergies at the company’s 2026 Annual General Meeting.

He noted that the company recorded a significant increase in revenue in 2025, rising by 195 per cent to GH¢3.81 billion, while profit after tax climbed by 72 per cent to GH¢684 million.

The Minister also welcomed the company’s decision to pay a five per cent dividend to the Government of Ghana, describing it as a historic milestone and the first of its kind in the company’s history.

According to him, the development demonstrates that state-owned enterprises can operate efficiently, generate profits and contribute directly to national development.

Mr. Jinapor charged BOSTenergies to build on its recent gains by strengthening the country’s strategic petroleum stocks and modernising critical infrastructure to enhance Ghana’s energy security.

He further urged the company to improve operational efficiency and expand its commercial reach to position itself for greater competitiveness within the energy sector.

As Ghana pursues its economic transformation agenda and implements the 24-Hour Economy policy, the Minister said BOSTenergies has a critical role to play in ensuring energy security and supporting sustainable national development. He therefore urged the company’s Board and Management to sustain the momentum and leverage its improved financial position to deliver greater value to the Ghanaian people.
