The Minister for Labour, Jobs and Employment, Hon. Dr. Abdul-Rashid Hassan Pelpuo, has expressed profound gratitude to Ghanaians, particularly residents of the Upper West Region, for the overwhelming support and goodwill following his reassignment in President John Dramani Mahama’s latest ministerial reshuffle.
Dr. Pelpuo said he had been “overwhelmed” by calls and messages from across the country, with a significant number coming from the Upper West Region, following news of his new assignment.
He expressed appreciation to President Mahama for retaining him in government and entrusting him with another responsibility to help advance the administration’s development agenda.
“I appreciate the new position and want to thank His Excellency the President for keeping me onboard to help push our Reset Agenda to a logical and successful conclusion,” Dr. Pelpuo said.
The minister reaffirmed that his commitment to public service remained unwavering, stressing that delivering on the promises made to Ghanaians would continue to be his paramount concern.
“Service to the nation is my core mission. Getting what we promise the nation is a paramount concern,” he stated.
Dr. Pelpuo also thanked the people of Ghana, especially the people of the Upper West Region, for their continued confidence, encouragement and support, saying the goodwill had further strengthened his resolve to serve. His remarks come as President Mahama’s latest reshuffle takes effect, with renewed expectations for members of the government to accelerate the implementation of the administration’s policies and fulfil its commitments to the Ghanaian people.
