Hon. Adam Mutawakilu, Managing Director of Ghana Water Limited, has donated GH¢100,000 towards the construction of a permanent office complex for the Savannah Islamic Council in the Savannah Region.

The donation follows a formal request from the Savannah Islamic Council seeking support for the construction of a permanent administrative and operational centre to facilitate its activities and programmes across the region.

Presenting the donation, Hon. Garlus reaffirmed his commitment to initiatives that promote religious harmony, community development and the wellbeing of the people of the Savannah Region.

He said the project would provide the Council with a suitable facility for its administrative work, meetings, religious programmes and other community-oriented activities.

The Savannah Islamic Council expressed its appreciation to Hon. Garlus and Ghana Water Limited for the gesture, describing the GH¢100,000 contribution as a significant boost to the office project and the development of the Muslim community in the region.

The Council also emphasised the importance of collaboration among public institutions, religious organisations, traditional authorities and individuals in promoting peaceful coexistence, social cohesion and sustainable community development. The donation therefore goes beyond financial support for an infrastructure project, reflecting a broader commitment to strengthening religious and community institutions and contributing to the development of the Savannah Region.
