Tension has reportedly escalated in Gindabuo in the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba District of the Savannah Region following reports of the deaths of a teacher and a police officer in separate incidents.
The teacher, identified as Mr. Abu Seidu of Gindabuo D/A Primary School, is reported to have died after an encounter involving police officers along the Gindabuo–Kanchen road.
A separate incident reportedly involved the death of a Gindabuo youth following alleged mob action involving a police officer.
The circumstances surrounding both deaths remain unclear and have not been independently verified. The bodies have reportedly been conveyed to a morgue as investigations continue.
Meanwhile, reports indicate that tensions have increased between residents and security personnel, with further reports alleging that property was vandalised, including the residence and vehicle of the Paramount Chief of the Kong Traditional Area.
