The Tando Community under the Tantaala zone has been connected to the national grid with few street lights.

The community which was expected to have been connected alongside other surrounding communities was left out due to limited resources and electrical materials.

Speaking at the inaugural ceremony on Tuesday, the 11th of August, 2020, the District Chief Executive for Mamprugu Moagduri, Hon. Abu Adam noted that it is better to delay with the community’s connection to the national grid than not to have been connected at all and cited the continues disappointments of the past government to the community as unfortunate.

He explained that the delay was as a result of putting things in place so as to have a successful installation but used the opportunity to urge the people of Taando to use the current judiciously and conservatively.

Hon. Adam said in a political language that, the NPP Government led by His Excellency Nana Addu Dankwa Akufo Addo, hasstretcheditss hand to help them, therefore, it is left with them (the people of Taando) to also stretch their hands to vote for the party in the upcoming Presidential and Parliamentary elections.

He promised them more goodies, especially when Hon Ussif Mustapha is voted to power as the MP for the area.

In his capacity as the chief of Taando, Miseo Daana Naa Salifu, thanked the Parliamentary aspirant, Hon. Ussif Mustapha, the DCE Hon. Abu Adam and the government for the gesture.

He said the community used to suffer in the hands of thieves, armed robbers and perpetrators of other social vices due to the lack of electricity.

This, Naa Salifu noted, gladdens his heart to have his community connected to the national grid by a caring government like the NPP government.

He, therefore, promised with a prayer that Hon. Ussif Mustapha shall come to power in the upcoming Presidential and Parliamentary elections to continue with his good work together with President Akuffu Addo.
