Abor Senior High School (SHS) in the Volta Region needs the stakeholder-attention to fix its amenities.

The school needs to improve the staff accommodation, completes the dining hall, improve the ICT laboratory and build a fence wall.

Currently, animals and motorists intrude activities in the school because there is no fence wall.

The school has been established about fifty-four (54) years ago and has not received adequate infrastructural development.

A visit to the school by bridge news has confirmed that the school needs proper attention from stakeholders.

At the school, the dining hall which is under construction for about six years ago has since not been completed compiling students to congest themselves in the old hall.

Also, there are only two teacher’s bungalows which are been used as accommodation for the teacher and one of his assistant.

Bridge news also gathered from sources that teachers transferred to the school rent their own apartment in the town before which has reduced the level of monitoring of students during prep hours since most of them stay from the school.

The school is left with only a cup in hand begging the Keta Municipal Assembly, the central government, and non-governmental organizations to come to their aid.

Sources also disclosed that the classroom blocks in the school are not adequate for effective teaching and learning to transpire.

The 18 units boys dormitory at the school also needs more bedsitters to accommodate the boys in the school.

At the ICT laboratory, only 10 laptops and 13 desktops are functioning properly. Learning practical at the school means that about 8-10 students have to sit with one computer or laptop in order for them to partake in their practical sessions.

Since the laboratory don does not have enough ICT gadgets and logistics, some of the students do not take an active part in practical time when the need arises.
The school’s population which is about 1246 students do not have an assembly hall, so students have to sit or gather themselves under trees during the school’s official programs.
