A newly built police station and bungalow at Adutor-Agave in the South Tongu District of the Volta has been abandoned for over two years after completion.

According to a resident of Adutor who spoke on anonymity, the project has been initiated and executed by the erstwhile Mahama led administration with the taxpayers’ money to combat crimes in the area but has been left unused.

According to him, the project has been partially completed with a well-furnished bungalow but for over two years has been left in the bush.

Residents of Adutor noted that crimes such as armed robbery, murder, and other criminal and civil offense are very much alarming and for that matter, the new police station needs to be put to use so that their safety could be ensured by the police.

To most of them, they do not know why such a beneficial project to society should be left in the bush with some portions of it started to rot.

They want the District Police Command and the District Assembly to immediate actions that will lead to the opening of the facility.
