AveDakpa Senior High school is wailing for stakeholder-intervention to improve its facilities.

The school had not seen any infrastructural expansion for the past 28 years.

Meanwhile, its student-admission had continued to increase every year.

The school has 625 students;
296 boys and 329 girls.

A visit to the campus revealed inadequate dormitories, toilet facilities, library, staff accommodation, and access roads.

A source said the boys’ dormitory project had been abandoned for years.

Some of the classrooms had been converted into dormitories making teaching and learning difficult.

Also, the dining hall was only a shed and inhabitable during rains.

The main dining hall facility had been left uncompleted for many years.

“During rains, the students are not able to use the shed-dining hall.” A source disclosed.

The school has only two bungalows for the headmaster and the assistant.

Monitoring was not effective because most of the masters had rented and they were staying in the town.

The same reason was affecting students extra learning hours.

Also, the school was facing inadequate access road network.

A source said most parents could not visit because of the poor access roads.

The male students were sharing the same six-seater KVIP with the masters.

The library is under-resourced.
