The call of God to start Global Christ Witnesses (GCW) at Techiman was one that could not be avoided by Pastor Kariyama John Eliasu.
“The unique thing of this church is everybody is making multiplying disciples and helping people to discover their purposes in life,” he went on.
But the challenges are insurmountable and the vibrant church therefore then needs support from well meaning Christians in the body of Christ to support to achieve the great vision of God laid on the heart of His humbly servant, Pastor Kariyama John Eliasu.
The Senior Pastor said he was called while in KNUST as a student and a member of Campus Crusade for Christ International, and with full of passion to see the Kingdom of Christ grow.
He said at about completing his National Service with Campus Crusade for Christ International at KNUST, he had a dream through which God directed him using the Founding Pastor of Winners Chapel in Nigeria, Bishop Oyedepo to ask him to move Techiman in the Brong Ahafo Region to start a church which is currently called GCW.
Bishop Oyedepo in the dream also told the pastor that God would use him in South Africa too.
Right now at Techiman and having started the ministry, the voiced of God continue to speak and direct him to grow the ministry and how to impact the members.
According to him the main essence for Global Christ Witnesses is to win, build, send souls for Christ and help them discover the purpose of existence on earth.” To achieve this, the church mostly organizes seminars and conference on discipleship ministry, entrepreneurship, character formation development, leadership and self discovery.
The church currently has more than 25 committed members.
Pastor said the church was working hard to achieve Kingdom transformation in societies, nations and the world at large.
5. Global impact
6. Making disciples
And that the church was determine to make each individual member identify their purpose of existence so that whichever environment they found themselves they would work to transform lives of others and become a solution to the problems in society.
Going forward, pastor said the church would adopt the cell group strategy to achieve their goal so that each member is reproductive, “spiritual multiplication.”
When asked, the General Secretary of the church, Mr.Ampofo Kester said: “We believe that God has given each member a gift so that each member was a generational change, working through God’s agenda and its promotion.
The Senior Pastor said the church was working hard to build “a church culture” where making disciples for Christ is a lifestyle to every believer, and this has remained hard to achieve objective. To this the pastors is appealing to all God seeking Christians to support the church to grow so we could expand God’s kingdom everywhere.
Like in every institution, the church has its share of financial difficulties too. Currently, the church is accommodating, feeding, and solving personnel problems of some of its new members. Also, the church is resourcing some of their members in employable skills.
Again, the young senior pastor, full of energy and enthusiasm to work for God is wailing and screeching to build a place of worship to house the church, and therefore appealing to all children of God to assist in the worthy call.
He bragged with humility in the Lord saying that with his qualification as a second class upper degree holder in engineering from KNUST, and an Higher National Diploma (HND) certificate in marketing holder from Bolgatanga Polytechnic, he was not seeking anything for his self interest but for the Lord.
Also, the pastor said he would be much grateful should a philanthropist come their way to support them to build their own church premises in order to avoid harassment of churching in a classroom.
