A victim of flood disaster which occurred on June 3, 2015 is appealing to government for support to restore her business.
The victim, Christiana Obeng Anani who was in tears when narrating her ordeal to thebridge news at Odorna suburb of Accra said she had lost her entire cold store business and two errand girls to the floods.
According to her, in the day of the flood disaster, she had bought fresh stock of fish worth several millions of Cedis and had also deposited an amount of GH23, 000.00 cash in the shop since it was late for her to bank it, and for the fear of robbery attacks, and that she had also spent her last dime to perform funeral rites of her two errand girls and as a result she had lost everything and could hardly revive her business and to pay her bankers.
She said she recently went for a loan facility but could hardly defray it because of high cost of power and frequent power cuts —“dumsor”— which plagued the country months ago.
She said she was going through the situation coupled with psychological trauma alone and therefore wishes to appeal to the government for assistance since she had not received any support from anybody, organization or government after the disaster.
